The Reality Most Recruiters Won't Tell You

Why Talented Advisors Fail — And How We Fix It

The industry has a 90% failure rate in the first four years. It's not because people aren't smart. It's because the model is broken.

01
The 90% Failure Rate Is Real
Nine out of ten new financial advisors leave the industry within four years. The reason is almost always the same: they exhaust their warm market, have no systematic pipeline, and burn out on rejection. Without a niche and a process, it's just a very stressful sales job with no salary.
02
AI Is Disrupting Generalists
Generic financial advisors — the ones who "do everything for everyone" — are being replaced by robo-advisors and low-cost platforms. The advisors who thrive in the next decade will own a niche so specific that clients choose them because no algorithm replicates their expertise and trust.
03
Specialization Is the Only Moat
A military client wants someone who understands TSP, SBP, and VA benefits — not someone who just Googled it. A physician wants someone who understands student debt and own-occupation disability. Niche advisors command higher trust, better referrals, and stickier client relationships.
What You're Getting

Infrastructure It Would Take You Years to Build

We're not handing you a phone book and wishing you luck. Here's what's already built.

🤖
AI-Powered Prospect Pipeline
We use artificial intelligence to identify and qualify prospects — job changers with 401k rollover opportunities, medical professionals, and military clients. You arrive to conversations pre-armed with context, not cold. The machine does the prospecting. You do the relationship.
🏛️
MassMutual Platform Access
MassMutual is one of the highest-rated mutual life insurance companies in the country (AA+ S&P). You get access to their full product portfolio — term, whole life, disability, annuities, LTC — plus their compliance infrastructure, financial assistance programs, and industry-leading training.
🎯
Proven Niche Playbooks
We've already developed and validated niche playbooks for military clients (TSP rollovers, SBP analysis) and medical professionals (own-occupation disability, student loan strategy). You're not inventing the wheel — you're executing a proven model.
📚
Training & Mentorship
Kevin Choate has 25+ years in the financial services industry including a decade building one of the top agencies in the country. You get direct access — case design, sales process, objection handling, and the kind of institutional knowledge that usually takes 10 years to accumulate.
🌐
Digital Presence & Brand
Clients Google you before they meet you. We have a professional website, SEO content, and digital credibility in place. You're introduced as part of an established firm — not as a solo advisor with a Gmail address and no online footprint.
⚙️
Systems That Scale
CRM workflows, follow-up sequences, proposal templates, compliance processes — all pre-built. You focus on revenue-generating activities. The administrative infrastructure is handled. As you grow, the systems grow with you.
Honest Income Projection

What the Earnings Curve Looks Like

This is a commission-based practice. Income is performance-dependent. Here's what the trajectory looks like for advisors who work the model.

Year 1 — Foundation

Building your book, learning the niche, first 20–30 clients.

$40K – $75K
Year 2–3 — Momentum

Referrals activating, niche reputation building, pipeline flowing.

$80K – $140K
Year 4–5 — Established

Consistent production, renewals, referral network generating leads.

$150K – $220K
Year 6+ — Partner Trajectory

Managing associate level, overrides, team leadership, equity potential.

$250K+

These figures are illustrative ranges based on industry data and similar practices. Individual results depend on work ethic, activity levels, and market conditions. Past performance of other advisors does not guarantee future results. We will give you honest projections based on your situation during our conversation.

The Right Fit

Who Thrives Here

We're not looking for a headcount. We're looking for the right people.

01
Licensed (or Actively Getting There)
You need your life and health insurance license to write business. We'll work with motivated candidates in the process of obtaining it. Series 6 or 7 is a plus — not a requirement to start the conversation.
02
People-First Mentality
You genuinely care about clients' outcomes, not just closing. In financial services, long-term income is built on trust — not transactions. If your instinct is to find the right solution rather than the easiest commission, you'll fit here.
03
Coachable and Process-Oriented
We have a system. Advisors who follow it outperform those who reinvent the wheel. You don't have to be perfect — you have to be willing to learn, take feedback, and execute with discipline.
04
Comfortable with Technology
Our AI pipeline and CRM systems require basic tech fluency. You don't need to be a developer — you need to be comfortable using digital tools, following up via email and text, and learning new software.
05
Military or Medical Background — Bonus
If you've served in the military or worked in healthcare, you have an enormous head start. You understand the culture, you speak the language, and clients in those niches will trust you faster than they'll trust anyone else. This is a significant competitive advantage — and we'll build your entire practice around it.

Frequently Asked Questions

You need your life and health insurance license before writing business, but we work with motivated candidates in the process of getting licensed. We'll point you to exam prep resources and walk you through MassMutual contracting. Series 6 or 7 is preferred for investment-advisory work but not required to get started.
We use AI tools to identify and qualify prospects in our target niches — job changers with 401k rollover opportunities, medical professionals, and military clients. Instead of cold-calling from a phone book, advisors work pre-researched prospect lists with context on the person's career stage, employer, and likely financial situation. You still have to have the conversations — but the top-of-funnel work is largely automated.
This is a commission-based practice opportunity through the MassMutual platform. There is no base salary for the advisor role, but MassMutual offers production bonuses, financing programs for new advisors, and a full benefits package at qualifying production levels. Income is performance-dependent and can range from $40K in year one to well over $200K for established producers. We'll walk you through realistic income expectations during our process.
